The second edition of “Movie Night” played on December 1, 2009 in large Lecture Theatre 4.  Visual Communication Lecturer Alexandru Ghitescu and the students from his Video Techniques and Screenplay & Storyboarding class organized this special event.

 

The event attracted a lot of attention in RCU.  E.V.D.,Joseph WONG, all faculty and most of staff also were present to view the videos.

 

The seven works that were screened were “Help Jason”, ”Bread or Love”, ”Because of Love Part I”, ”Because of Love Part II”, “Brother”, “Crazy Drug”, and “Windfall”. These movies were all edited, directed, and performed by the students.  The various videos dealt with themes from the understanding of friendship and love to drugs or homosexuality.  The students showed us their unique individual perspectives.

 

Students used many multimedia techniques to the render the videos, cut them and produce special effects.  It was a striking show of the results of RCU’s international teaching methods and showcased the achievements of Interactive Multimedia Design.
