Sharing the World Cup, VC student helping the BenRiach Elephants F.C. Design New Logo

BenRiach Elephants F.C team manager engaged students from Raffles Design Institute - Guangzhou to design their new club badge, and William Daniel of Multimedia major’s logo was chosen. As the Guangzhou’s longest established Expert football team, BenRiach Elephants F.C wanted to get its “tough, strong, and aggressive” reputation into a design for their new badge and they were extremely pleased with the results.

While trying to maintain the originality of the team mascot, William did plenty of research on how to turn a gentle giant like an elephant into something wild and aggressive, he studied the expression of aggressive animals like lions and tigers; blending the angry expression of a lion into the gentle elephant is one of the key features of this logo. He also added elements like a shield and ribbons to show the unity of the team (football is all about team work after all). Finally, he used “positive” and “negative” aspects to enhance the contrast of the logo, and used various complimentary colors to add extra vibrancy.

This logo has been made official, and printed out on the team’s new uniform. New identity surely elevates their team spirit. Go Elephants F.C!
