In the afternoon July 10, 2008, Donation Ceremony was held in the Boardroom of Changchun University, Mr Chew Hua Seng Fund donated the Sichuan students of Changchun University, these students’ families or houses were stricken by the earthquake disaster.
Prof. Pan Fu Lin, Dean of Changchun University; Mr. Wang Zhong, Secretary; and Mr. Wang Jian Wei, Director of SA Department; Ms. Nina Voon, Executive Vice Dean of RCU; Mr. Alvin Chan, Academic Director; Ms. Wang and Ms. Ye and ten SiChuang students attended the ceremony.
Ms. Jiang, Executive of Foreign Affairs Dept. of Changchun University hosted the ceremony. On behalf of Mr. Chew Hua Seng, Ms. Voon firstly gave speech to express the sympathy. And then Prof. Pan and students’ representative thanked Mr. Chew and Ms. Voon for their efforts for this. Later RCU gave out the donation, RMB5000 for each student. The students also expressed their gratitude to RCU and the lectures of Changchun University by performed recitation ‘Thanks Heart’.
Last but not the least, we wish the students to bravely overcome hardships, and we believe their future will be better!
